Volunteer Week

Join the team at YOUR Radio for Volunteering Week!

Volunteers’ Week is an annual celebration of the fantastic contribution millions of volunteers make across the UK. It takes place from 1st-7th June every year.

YOUR Radio is celebrating the very special efforts of local volunteers, through volunteering you can make a real difference to individuals and communities, from improving the environment we live in, spending time with those who may otherwise be lonely and contributing to a range of other essential services and support.

All week, we will be hearing from local volunteers and organisations working in YOUR local area.  Jim from West Dunbartonshire Community and Volunteers Services will be chatting about the work they do and we will be welcoming a very special volunteer, the West Dunbartonshire's 'Citizen of the Year' TRACY BRITTAN! Tracy will be chatting about her experiences through volunteering with CHAS.

We will also be chatting with the team from Erskine about the amazing work they're doing and Aberlour Child Care Trust on their intandem mentoring program.
